Google integrations

BlinkLife can connect to Gmail, Google Calendar and Google Docs. This page explains exactly what each connection does, what BlinkLife can and cannot do with it, and how to disconnect.

Each integration is separate and optional. Connecting your calendar never asks for your email. Nothing is requested when you sign up — BlinkLife asks for a permission only at the moment you switch that specific integration on, and only for what that feature needs.

Gmail

BlinkLife reads your recent mail, summarises the messages that actually need you, and lets you clear them by talking to your companion — reply, archive, or label without opening Gmail.

Permission requested: Read, compose and send email, and change labels
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.modify

What BlinkLife can do

  • Read your recent messages, so it can summarise them and draft replies in your voice
  • Send a reply, or save it as a Gmail draft for you to review first
  • Archive a message when you say so
  • Add or remove labels you choose

What BlinkLife cannot do

  • Permanently delete your email — we deliberately do not request the scope that allows it
  • Change your Gmail settings, filters or forwarding
  • Read anything in your Google account other than Gmail

Our commitment: BlinkLife always shows you a reply before it is sent. That is a promise we make in the product — the permission itself would allow sending without asking.

Google Calendar

Your real day feeds the Today view, so BlinkLife knows what is already committed and what will actually fit. You can create, move and cancel events by asking.

Permission requested: View and edit events on your calendars
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.events

What BlinkLife can do

  • Read your events to build your daily briefing and find free blocks
  • Create an event you asked for
  • Move or amend an event
  • Cancel an event you asked to cancel

What BlinkLife cannot do

  • Create or delete an entire calendar
  • Change who your calendars are shared with, or their permissions
  • See or change anything about a calendar itself — only the events on it

Our commitment: BlinkLife only reads and writes your primary calendar. The permission would extend to events on your other calendars; keeping to one is our choice, not a limit Google enforces.

Google Docs

Export a BlinkLife page or note to a Google Doc, then keep editing it from BlinkLife.

Permission requested: Access only the files BlinkLife itself creates
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file

What BlinkLife can do

  • Create a new Google Doc from your BlinkLife page
  • Read back and edit the documents it created
  • Remove a document it created, if an export fails partway

What BlinkLife cannot do

  • See any file already in your Google Drive
  • Open, read or change documents it did not create
  • Browse your Drive folders

How your Google data is handled

BlinkLife’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. In plain terms:

  • Your Google data is used only to provide the features described above.
  • It is never used to train or improve any general-purpose AI model.
  • It is never sold, and never shared for advertising, market research or credit assessment.
  • No person at BlinkLife reads your Google data, except with your explicit permission, to resolve a security problem, where the law requires it, or where the data has been aggregated and anonymised for internal operations.

Content is processed by AI models to produce the summaries and drafts you asked for. Our model providers are contractually barred from training on it.

Disconnecting

You can disconnect any integration at any time from Settings → Connections. Disconnecting revokes BlinkLife’s access with Google immediately — we do not merely stop using the token, we revoke it — and removes the stored connection.

You can also revoke access directly from your Google account at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

Deleting your BlinkLife account removes everything derived from these integrations. For the full picture of what we store and your rights over it, see our Privacy Policy.
